Wind Instruments
Discover the mystery of the wind. Explore the sounds first heard by primitive man and the evolution of wind instruments.
Suggested minimum age: Grade 3
Materials needed per student:
- 5 plastic drinking straws 1/4 inch X 7 inch (NOT Flexible!)
- 1 paper towel
- scissors
- masking tape
Schedule
- Day 1 Share my wind instrument collection.
Students design own instruments with straws.
- Day 2 Students bring found instruments to share.
- Day 3 Perform.
